How to unlock the Complete all Scenarios achievement in 2006 FIFA World Cup - Definitive Guide
I just got this one today and God was I suicidal before I managed to pull it off.
For the tough ones (Australia vs. Solomon Island, Brazil vs. Sweden, Germany vs. Argentina etc) you can change their squad via "Team Management" in the main menu. I prefer putting the opponent on 3-4-3 and change their defenders for reserve strikers.
However, this is not a quick fix that will make you win straight away. What these challenges are about is luck. It's pure chance that determines wheter a shot on goal goes in or not. I remember being able to sometime score in the 82:th minute against Brazil and sometimes not at all (even if I had like 5 chances, the ball just wouldn't go in). So what you need is patience and lots of it.
I've never been as pissed of while playing a video game as I was when I went to hell and back for this one. Anyone who thinks these 500 Gs are easy needs try this out. After seening my millionth subsitution in the Brazil game I honestly thought suicide would have been a great idea. This game is blasphemy and I will never buy a game from EA Sports ever again.

One of the best "guides" I've read.
Nice about the swapping tip, that may be helpful when I start to play it.

it's true that this achievement is hard as hell and it does depend on luck. But the most important thing is determination; just KEEP ON TRYING and it'll work out. i got this like 2 years ago; nowadays i wouldn't bother so much for 1 achievement, but i got so far with all the other challenges, that it seemed silly to give up now:-)
good luck to yall!

Use "team management" stretegy given by the other guides. The 2 videos will give you an idea, how you best play against the CPU.
1st video: Australia vs. Solomon Islands
All credit for the video goes to BurningPandama on Youtube!
REMEMBER: This video shows all goals coming from through passes (). This can only be done successfully, if there are 2 strikers in front. (Rebound goals, shown in the video below only work with 2 strickers aswell!) If you're playing 4-3-3, like most guides tell you, crsossing is the key! Cause you can see, that the goalie is turning down nearly every 1 on 1. Don't forget to change the formation of Solomon Islands to 3-4-3.
Australia: Kewell (center midfield) / Bresciano (right midfield) / Tiatto (left midfield) / Emerton (right striker) / Cahill (center striker) / Viduka (left striker)
2nd video: Sweden vs. Brazil
REMEMBER: Through passes () are the key here. If you want to do them with (more) success, either stay with the default formation of Sweden or change it to 4-2-4. (Change Brazil's formation to 3-4-3, of course.) If you're on the 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper and you're coming from the left/right, always try to aim for the short post. And shoot just before the goalie can reach you. Like that, he can't react quick enough. The video is also showing chip shots ( + ). I would recommend trying to practice them for 1 or 2 matches. If you master the timing and everything, you can try doing them on the 1 on 1. But I did it without any chip shots.
For me, Marcos was the weakest goalkeeper of the Brazilian team.
Hope this helps...!

I'm not sure why since I usually had a 424 against a 343 I kept them both at 442 which seemed to work really well for me and getting kallstorm and freddy l. on the wings. Nearly gave up after two hours but you can chip goals from some absolutely crazy angles.

the best way to defeat pretty much anyone on these things ive found,( after beating the solomon islands 9-0 on my 2nd attempt) is put your formation to 4.2.4 opponents to 4.3.3 this seems to give you plenty of space in midfield to play decisive through balls, when one on one with the keeper hold Lt and tap the B button whitch will perform a lob shot, make sure you do it before you reach the penalty spot, slight dierection changes when you perform the move work when your coming inside from the wing,i havent completed all the challenges yet but the 25 ive done ive pretty muched used this technique on them

Doing the LT + B shot at goals gets you a goal 90% of the time. I recommend everyone use it to get goals (along with the Through Pass [Y button]).

I AM REPOSTING THIS SOLUTION UNDER MY NEW GAMERTAG
There is a glitch for this achievement:
i know this is going to frustrate a bunch of people.
you can get the 1.000 GS in this game in less than 30 min, BUT only as long as you have not unlocked the achievement for beating the host nation:
what you do is the following:
- start a new world cup, difficulty can be easy and time be 4 min.
- select costa rica as your team, you first match will be against germany. you have to win this.
-the achievement for beating the host nation SHOULD unlock now, but it does not, because of a bug...that is good.
-now save world cup and go back to main menu.
-select challenges and play an easy one, for example cameroon vs ivory coast. the very first one.
-you have to win this as well.
-now an achievement WILL pop up, and in the moment that achievement pops you have to press the guide button. the menu will take around 30 seconds to load and during that time, the other 4 achievements, worth 950 GS, will unlock.
Variables:
-some people will experience their xbox to freeze after pressing the guide button in that very moment, this is good as well. just wait a few minutes. reboot your xbox and all the achievements should be unlocked.
-for ME, the following trick only worked when i won at least 5:2. so that i got a gold medal. but other players reported a 3:2 win worked for them.
*** TRY THIS ON ANOTHER ACCOUNT FIRST ***
I tried this on 2 silver accounts, before doing it on my main account. so this really works. i've read this in a forum and the trick seems to be quite old, so i was wondering why no one posted it here.
EDIT: to clarify things a bit: if you already have unlocked the "beat 1 scenario", but have not unlocked "beat the host nation" you can still use the glitch, BUT of course you need another achievement to "really" unlock.
the "beat 1 scenario" is simply the easiest achievement to do, if you haven't played the game yet you can do the glitch as well with the "qualify for a world cup" or "win a world cup" achievement, but only if you haven't gotten that one already.
so fulfilling the requirements AGAIN for an achievement you have already gotten wont work. thought that would be obvious.

Some tipps or tricks especially:
for the match: Australia vs. Solomon Island
(the other matches are way not so hard)
edit the teams in "Team Management", and change their defenders for reserve strikers. and the strikers for reserve defenders.
Come over the wings and try to shoot goals per head. And try to get lots of corners.
Another good way is to send teammates to the front by holding the left trigger and pass the ball via the y button, watch out not to be offside. When everything goes fine you should be one on one against the goalie-try to shoot the ball low in the short corner.
Most of the tries the goalie has no chance to react so quick.
!!!!GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!
