This is quite simple and as the achievement states, can be done across multiple playthroughs.

List of items for you to check off as you go through, these can ether be picked up at the beginning as you prepare to evacuate, crafted from the Crafting Module in the back left corner of the escape pod or can be found during missions:

Atomic Battery
Communicator
First Aid Kit
Gas Mask
Gun
Handbook
Lighter
Shovel
Sock Puppet
Tape

The last two I was missing were the Shovel and Atomic Battery.

Materials for upgrading and crafting can be found in resource boxes on the space station at the start, slowly added by the Payload Officer in the escape pod or during missions on a planet, for upgrades you will need power cells and for crafting you’ll need ether chemicals or minerals.
