How to unlock the Survivalist achievement in 7 Days to Die - Definitive Guide

To attain a score of 1000 you simply need to kill 1000 zombies as they each count as 1 point. Every time you die though you lose a certian amount that gets larger based on how many times you've died. The progress bar can seem buggy at times as well but you can check your score in the menu during your game. Its the mark to the far right and lists your character's details and score.

My achievement is not unlocking. I have a score of 1100 points and all of the previous point achievements have unlocked with no problem. I have not used cheats at any points. My progress bar is also stuck at 50%. But in the progress screen it says I have 1100 zombies killed and points. Any thoughts?

This achievement sounds complicated but it’s really not. Your score is simply the number of zombies that you have killed on a single character. Simply kill 1000 zombies on one character and this achievement will unlock.

Note: Backup your save before grinding this trophy out.

The way score is obtained in 7 Days To Die is by killing zombies. Unfortunately, you only get one score point per kill meaning you will have to kill 1000 zombies on a single character without dying. When you die, either by a player or a zombie, you will lose approximately 5 score so you will want to avoid dying at all costs. This is why it is stated numerous times throughout the guide to back up your saves every few in game days just in case you accidentally die. This may sound extreme to be killing so many zombies without a single death but it can be grinded out in a few hours with the method outline below.

Firstly, you can't just go in to a game and knock this out. Preferably you want to pair this trophy with your Nearly Immortal trophy and getting your wellness to 200 which will also require you to not die and be keeping yourself healthy and hydrated. Also, you will be well stocked and have a forge to be able to craft the best melee weapon in the game - the "Spiked Club" - which only requires wood and forged iron. Craft as many bow arrows and crossbow bolts as you can. You will need lots of materials for ammo and restocking your clubs.

From the main menu select continue game. Now you will see continue game options and from here select modded options. Scroll down to 24 hour cycle and change it to 10 or 20 and up the enemy spawn to high or very high. Just be extra careful and have zombies running off or you will be overwhelmed quickly and most likely die. The goal is to keep the hordes spawning on each 7th day. 15 to 20 zombies will attack your house and with them being so slow it's a piece of cake to walk around and hit them in the head with a spiked club which is a one hit kill or even an arrow to the face. It'll take some hours repeating this over and over to get the 1000 kills. Sadly you'll need 2500 for the extremely grindy trophy The Funeral Director so it won't be wasted time or kills. Don't attempt this until you have done most of the other miscellaneous trophies either as you'll be killing most of the zombies through natural play.

Killing a zombie is one point. Plus the description is not entirely correct - not in a single game, but in one (you can get it by playing both in a single game and with a friend online).

Be careful! Each death deprives you of 5 points from your score, and you also lose another 10 Wellness points
