How to unlock the Alexander the Great achievement in 7 Days to Die - Definitive Guide

For people who don't have somebody to grind with online I've figured out a solution.

When you play split screen, you are automatically made allies with your partner and can't remove them. Being allies means you can see where they are on the map, but it also means you can't damage each other from weapons. Me, being frustrated with this, I tried all sorts of ally killing tactics and finally found one that works.

All you need is a few crossbows and a whole lot of exploding bolts.

First you should build a wall and floor preferably out of steel or reinforced concrete. Place the players bed who you want to kill (over and over) a few blocks away from the wall. This is done so the bed won't be destroyed quickly when you shoot the wall but you can still 1 shot your Player 2. Make sure you up the block durability in the world settings. Then all you do is find a good spot and keep shooting the wall with the exploding bolts and pressing "A" to respawn.

A few notes:

Instead of destroying the bed completely with splash damage, I found it good to pick the bed up and place it back down every 50ish kills to save on materials and the long walk back to where you have you setup at.

Don't trust the Xbox achievement tracker at all for this. I was stuck at 61% for most of the time I was grinding. Instead make player 2 leave and look at the players tab in the menu. It will show your level, zombie kills, and most importantly, the correct amount of player kills you have.

This will take a long time to do. I did it in 500 kill chunks which took about 2 and a half hours each.

Exploding bolts are somewhat a pain to make. I suggest following this video by B_for_L Gaming on how to duplicate them

z RagnaroK z, "For people who don't have somebody to grind with online I've figured out a solution." This solution is not supposed to be "easier" or "far superior" then the idle boosting method. It is simply a way to do it by yourself if you want to. So unless you have a better way to do it offline, this solution is the easiest way for that prefer to play offline.

Pipe bombs also kill your split-screen companion. I haven't tried the duplicator yet but hopefully it still works, otherwise I doubt if I can come up with 25,000+ gunpowder to make 2,500+ pipe bombs.

If you can't find a boosting partner to do this with then you are either unwilling to use the sites resources, or you don't know how.

The other method for idle boosting this (with a second person) is far easier and far superior to this one. The time that it's would take to harvest and make all those pipe bombs and crossbows is a bit ridiculous.

This solution is best equipped to a built up world with all weapons available.
(This was done on xbox one, results could vary on other consoles)
rubber banding your trigger is prolly the easiest and least effort way of racking up kills, but for those who wish to do it themselves, have a read.

NOTE--This solution works best with only one person being killed.
If killing multiple people, just go at it since you'll be moving around and making this solution void.

Extra Things you will need:

1) A Phone that has stopwatch on, Preferably with a lap button.
2) A weapon that one hit kills, preferably an iron sledgehammer.

how it works:
1) Have the player being killed turn his controller off for his auto spawn to work.
2) Have your phone ready to start the stopwatch, this will be needed for the whole time, watch it carefully.
3) Stand in front of the player, aiming the curser at his head, Headshots are one hit kill, we want that always. No one will be moving at all.
4) As soon as you swing the Iron sledgehammer and it HITS his head, START the stopwatch
NOTE:
*The player re-spawn takes 16 seconds to work
**The sledgehammer swing is about 1 second.
***We will be aiming to press the trigger button to swing our sledgehammer every 16 seconds, using the lap button on the stopwatch to guide us.
6) When the timer gets to 16 seconds, click the attack button, swinging the sledgehammer, the player should have spawned by the time it hits the player, if this doesnt, re-adjust your timing a bit.
7) when the swung sledgehammer hits the players head, press LAP on the stopwatch at the exact same time.
Then repeat every 16 seconds
**You dont really need to watch the tv screen at all, just your stop watch, player spawns on 16 seconds which is when you press the attack button and then press lap upon hitting their head, the time lapped should be 17.10 or 17.29 seconds or something similar.
8) using the lap button can also keep track of how many kills you have, lap 35 means 35 kills unless you have some accidental laps, then it might be out of sync a bit.

*quoting ifcJohn from his solution*
It takes around 20 secs for each kill and i.e. 3 kills per minutes, 180 kills per hours, so for all killing achievement, it will take 33 mins for 100 kills, 2 hrs 46 mins for 500 kills, around 14 hrs for 2500 kills.
This timing has now been altered with use of a stopwatch (Once you get into a good rhythm)
It is now:
4 kills per 1 minute 8 seconds.
40 kills per 11 mins 30 seconds.
50 kills every 14 mins 15 sec
100 kills per 28 mins 30 sec
105 kills per 30 mins 10 seconds
210 kills in 1 hour
500 kills in 2 hr 22 mins
2100 kills in 10 hours
2500 kills in 11 hrs 50 mins - 12 hours

You might not get these figures to start off with but with getting used to the spawning and swinging of the sledgehammer, you can pretty much get a kill every 17 seconds, give or take some milliseconds.
*I did get some issues from the actual game, i was killing the guy so fast, there was some lagging delays in respawning him, up to 5 seconds infact, then there are small lags in the game that add 1 second every now and then, plus the dashboarding every few hours.

I hope this helps people in the future, we can definitely see the improvement ourselves. Good luck everyone.

This achievement will require you to be playing on a multiplayer server, whether it be your own private server or a public server. The best, and realistically the only way to get this achievement is to have someone help you boost. Ideally, that person could also be going for the "Meet Your Maker" achievement.

The simplest way to unlock this achievement would be to craft a few crossbows, several thousand bolts, and just kill your partner every time they respawn on their bed. One or two headshots should kill a person but you have to wait until the other person is fully respawned otherwise they will take no damage from the bolt.

This is the most grindy trophy in 7 Days To Die depending on your boosting group size. You will have to kill 2500 other players while in online servers. Split screen unfortunately will not work for these trophies as you cannot damage a friend in split screen. So, in this case, you'll have to be boosting this out with friends or other players found in the boosting threads while in a multiplayer server. It's best to find a trusty group of three other players to grind this out to shorten the time massively. If you're killing 3 players every 10-15 seconds you will be averaging 500 kills an hour and you will get 2500 in a little over 6 hours. Click here to go to the boosting thread: LINK.

Any player you kill across all of your saves will count toward your total. This means that you can join a random server and kill 100 players and kill the other 2400 in a friends server and still unlock the trophy. Below I've outline the best and easiest way to start grinding out player kills with a friend or two. You can also check your progress by being in the world and pressing the . As soon as you do you will see a scoreboard listing all of your stats in the world including a players killed stat.

Grinding Out Player Kills:
From the main menu select "New Game" and choose any character you would like. Choose the "Private Game" option so you'll be able to invite your boosting partners in your server. Also, be sure to have the settings set below so you will not be bothered by zombies and can purely focus on getting some quick food and water, and farming player kills.

When you and your friends first spawn in you will likely not be anywhere near each other and have to meet up somewhere. This is purely optional but I do recommend the giant corn field and the farm house for a food and water source. You will have to be playing on the NavezGane map in order to see this in your world and the coordinates are below.

Once here, gather corn and glass jars and get water from the river near by. Set up and place your bedrolls inside the farm house and boil your water etc. You don't have to worry about zombies if you have them turned off as advised. It's important to place your bedrolls near each other as this creates a spawn point for the player that is being killed. Using a gun is the fastest way of killing a player. 1-2 shots to the head will kill them, However if you do not have easy access to guns and can't be bothered with creating them using a bow and arrow is just as fast. If you prefer melee weapons it will be incredibly slow even with the best weapons it will take 3-4 strikes to the head.

World Map & Standard/Modded Settings:

  • World Map - (NazezGane)
  • Enemy Spawn - (Disabled)
  • 24 Hour Cycle - (10)
  • AirDrops - (24)

Farm & Corn Field Coordinates:

  • Farm House - N 903° E 797°
  • Corn field - N 885° E 675°

Two ways to get the trophy:

SOLO , using the second gamepad - any explosion is suitable for killing, be it dynamite or a shot from a rocket launcher. Unfortunately, the explosion destroys the sleeping bag of the second player, so you first need to take it away, and it also blows away any blocks - so you need to do this on bedrock (depth -57 meters, it cannot be broken). With this execution, 20 seconds to respawn + 3-4 seconds. to move away + 1 sec per shot. Total 25 seconds per kill. 2.4 kills per minute = 144 per hour. 2500 kills will take 17.5 hours of real time .

ONLINE , using a friend or partner with a strategist. In your save settings, set modded options - enemy spawning = disable. Zombies will not appear and will not bother you. Place your sleeping bags nearby and arm yourself with SPIKED CLUB (a club with nails). The partner dies and when revived no longer moves. Stand next to him, point the cursor at your friend’s head and put a match into the gap between the keys And . Go about your business for 30 minutes. Your partner pokes you once every 20 seconds . 30 minutes of poking is quite tolerable (you can use gadgets with your free hand), then you change. 1 minute - 3 kills, 30 min = 90 kills. 2500 kills will take 13.5 hours of real time .

The ONLINE method is preferable, as it is more fun, plus you will automatically receive the Meet Your Maker trophy (die 500 times)

Statistics are summarized from all your saves, including online ones.

It’s not necessary to have 2500 dynamite, about 100 is enough. How to craft dynamite, we exit the game, dump the saved map onto a flash drive or cloud, then go into the game on the map, connect the second player with the second gamepad, by holding down the Options button, collect 20 herbs for them, do and put on the sleeping bag, move away a little from it so as not to be hit by the explosion, then the first player aims at the second one, light the dynamite with the button , and immediately throw it away (it is advisable to choose a flat space and change the pit approximately every 20-25 throws of dynamite, otherwise the checker will explode in the air without touching the player at the bottom of the pit). As soon as the second player exploded, we wait for loading, and select the first item in the revival menu, load, and go into this pit, again and again. After the dynamite is over, exit the game, load the card from the flash drive/cloud (only that one), and repeat the steps. If you have 100 dynamite, you will need 25 passes. One visit will take approximately an hour.
