How to unlock the Medal of Valor achievement in 911 Operator - Definitive Guide

If you do something wrong in a call, or do not respond to something that needs attention, you will score negative rep.

An example might be sending an ambulance to the call for the dog hit by a car. Or telling the woman that calls every 3 minutes because her kitchen is on fire to throw water on the grease fire, etc. (Although, listening to the terrible voice acting when you choose the wrong thing in her case is quite comical)

At the end of the duty, look through all the negative rep calls you might have and make sure none of them are more than -3. If they are, you will have to start from 0 again.

You need 3 of these duties (Which are what the game calls each round, or shift) in a row, without more than a -3.

Did 7 missions back to back with no negative rep at all in free mode on the same city. Popped multiple achievements along the way, so no service issues. In my general stats it says I’ve only had 1 death in my entire time playing. (26 duties so far) Starting to become uncertain about free mode. Maybe RNG is a factor? IE; in my most recent play I had the murdered wife scenario twice. Seeing as she ‘spawns’ dead... is that death counting against me? Obviously it shouldn’t, but maybe it is.

I can confirm that you CAN do it in free play mode and that the tracker does NOT track the progress.

I haven't had an issue with the reports of stuff that happened in the past. Are you ignoring the call rather than letting it time out? (Hold A on the ignore option)

The calls are finished, discussions concluded, they hung up. After that I chose ignore to get it rid of the incident list and the map.

There is also one incoming call, when an unconscious man is found. If you ask if he has a bad breath, upon reply the dispatcher will tell them to leave him there, you cant prevent reputation loss.

Interesting, I haven't had that issue either, I will test the next time I get an unconscious man. The one that gets me is the stomach ache. I ask all the questions and right when I think I have it figured out, I get negative rep for not sending an ambulance, or negative for sending it, even though the questions were all answered the same way.

I've played 2 games in a row with zero negative rep and third and fourth game with -2 rep and still no achievement... Does it unlock in career? And does the achievement tracker for this work?

I’ve done this a bunch of times and still haven’t popped the achievement. Does it need to be on a bigger city? What city did you do this on? Guide should really include more information.

I don't remember the city I did it on, but I do know that it has to be 3 duties in a row on the same city. (So if you do one or two, then move to another city and do the rest, won't work)

Ok I did 3 duties in a row in Chicago with no negative points and achievement wont unlock. Anyone else having this problem?

EDIT: Ok so apparently whoever said this can be done in free mode was wrong. You can only unlock this achievement in career mode.

I can CONFIRM you can indeed get this is free play. I played three in a row same city with no problems.

Any specific cities easy to do this on? I’m doing the 10 duties on first city, kapolei, for the max out a squad level achievement but I keep missing multiple calls because there’s not enough vehicles. Maybe I need to keep going until I can buy more? Very boring game. Thanks

If I recall correctly (it's been a while) I did this in free play using my home town (Windsor, Nova Scotia)

I did not have any issues.

I reset my game and did another three in a row. No deaths, one -2 event on the first duty. All same city, all free mode. No achievement. I’m almost certain you can’t get this achievement in free mode.

I think you can get it in free play, but I'm getting the feeling that the whole -3 thing is glitchy. I think getting minus anything is blocking some folks. I'm sure I did this in free play myself, others have confirmed as well.

It's possible that they've changed it though, it was quite some time ago that I completed this.

Just went back to this game and got the achievement. Campaign mode. Kapolei, fresh save. Did my 2 duties and got promoted to the next city. Picked Kapolei anyway. Got my achievement after the third service. All positives or 0 events. No negatives and no calls/mentions of deaths period.

If the achievement is not unlocking for you, you should know that you MUST do the three duties in the same city. For example I had a perfect shift in Chicago and then two perfect shifts in San Francisco and the achievement did not unlock.

The game treats reputation in a completely messed up manner. Someone reports his car being stolen days ago, you tell him to report to the police, bamm, -3 reputation. Which it didnt even show midgame, only after finishing the duty. Or spending literally several minutes in instructing a birth delivery, while other cases pop in and expire, despite pausing prior taking the call. One exired case, reputation is gone.
