It is possible to not receive this as your first achievement if you disable/skip the cutscenes in the options menu. If you care about the story, you should beat a whole playthrough with it on but if not, once you get this achievement, turn off cutscenes as it'll speed up playthroughs dramatically.

to add to it - you need to use one of the original players. I tried with one of the last 3 you unlock and it didnt pop. Switched to king and it worked.
