How to unlock the You've got a Friend achievement in 99Vidas - Definitive Guide

Pretty self explanatory, but you can actually play through the game solo and then join a second controller when the final boss is nearly dead and it will still count.

For an extra achievement, you can make sure the 2nd character is the partner of the other so you can get the couple's achievement.

All you have to do is beat the last boss with more than one player active. You can wait until the boss's health is low, then fire up a second control and choose a character to get this.

Just don't die. If you get a Game Over and your teammates finish the game, they won’t give you the trophy
