How to unlock the The Floor is Lava achievement in A Hat in Time - Definitive Guide

The Lava Cake peak is the large cake-like volcano that is oozing lava off in the distance from the main peak in Free Roam. The only trick to this is either using the Time Stop Hat (acquired from yarn found in this chapter, requires 24 yarn to knit) and use it to slow down the rising/falling pillars or to take breaks between them. You will need to use the Dweller's Mask to reveal certain platforms. It would be safer to take an avoidance approach to any enemies or obstacles that aren't lava, just in case it leads to interacting with the obstacle in question.
Lava Cake is an act in Alpine Skyline. To get to the top of this giant fire cake you will need to jump, hookshot and be fired out of cannons. There's nothing too difficult and there are only a couple of enemies around that you can ignore. The main issue is that certain platforms sink into the lava every few seconds. To make this easier I suggest waiting until you've got the Time Stop Hat so you can use it's power to slow down time and jump over the sinking platforms without worrying.
There really isn't much to say about this one other than, well, don't fall into the lava. Make it all the way to the time piece without touching the lava and this will unlock upon collecting the time piece.
