How to unlock the Alchemist achievement in A Plague Tale: Innocence - Definitive Guide

In chapter 4, when you learn to craft the Ignifer ammunition, just after you craft the first one (story related, cannot be missed), there is an autosave.
Craft as much as you can, (cn_RB + cn_A) then reload the checkpoint. Repeat this until the achievement pops.

Why so much downvote? Looks pretty good to me even if I haven't tried it yet.

I can confirm it works. Downvoting a high quality solution is dumb...

Also, each time you craft counts as two, since you craft two ammunitions at a time. I only needed ten reloads, but I also upgraded my ammunion once. So I'm assuming that factored into how many times I needed to reload.

Great solution. I would also like to add that you can track your progress in the Game Hub progress stat tab to see how much you got left to make

Great solution thanks! Another great spot to do this is in Chapter 9 when you unlock the ability to craft Odoris. Craft as much as you can, get eaten by the rats in the pit you’re in, rinse repeat and the achievement will pop.

Glitched for me. (Windows GamePass)
I finished the game. No cheevo.
Deleted the savegame and closed the game.
Started a new game and reach the ignifier... Crafted more than 150 times (that's 300 ammo)
Still no cheevo.

Introduced in Chapter 4 through a tutorial, ammunition crafting is an essential part of the game as many areas and puzzles rely on crafting the correct types of ammunitions to overcome. Therefore though not story-related this should come naturally in later chapters. However, if you desire to speed up the process, the rinse-and-repeat method can be used to accumulate the required ammunition number.

Materials for ammunitions can only be picked up within chapters as there is no open-world or currency in this game, and thus it is recommended to fully explore the environment to collect as many materials as possible. Killed enemies sometimes also drop materials in small quantity.

Got it around chapter 12. Most of all I crafted Ignificer (lights a fire) and a projectile that can be used to remove the helmets of knights.
There is no need to specially craft for the trophy! Get it automatically.

Everything is much simpler and faster. As soon as it becomes possible to craft Ignifer (IV chapter “Apprentice”), simply craft Ignifer (no need to throw it) in the menu via R1 to the maximum and load the last checkpoint, doing the same. A few minutes and the trophy is yours.
Or do this trick in later chapters. For crafting you need stone, sulfur and alcohol, which are abundant all around.

I got it in the middle of Chapter 9, I was just making everything, to be honest. The trophy popped up when I was making a projectile to attract rats.

I didn’t bother with this trophy at all. Dropped in Chapter 9
