This chapter isn't too difficult. The first half of the mission is more rat puzzles. During this you're given a new bait item to use.
The second part of the mission brings more guard encounters along with the rats. Between Hugo's ability and the combat effectiveness of the ally you have in this part of the game dealing with the guards here is a lot easier than most parts of the game I've experienced.
