How to unlock the Getting serious achievement in Absolver - Definitive Guide

Simple concept, not a simple grind. Game Mode Level means Combat Trial Level. Meaning you have to do PVP in order to rank up your game mode level, and unfortunately this is the only way. Game is really unfair at this point, only people who play now are veterans and dedicated players. They will not have any mercy on you. You need 5 points to level up, meaning you need 500 to get to your destination. There are three ways to earn these points in game: Participate, Performance, and Victory.

Participate - Win or lose you get a point.
Performance - During a 1v1, the winner is the player who defeats the other 3 times. If you win at least 2 of the 3 needed you'll get a point.
Victory - Defeat your opponent 3 times.

This means you can earn 1 to 3 points every match. Depending on your skills, you either have to fight 500 times or win 167 times to get to level 100. That isnt the max level but it really isnt necessary to go further than that. This grind will help you get at least 5 achievements though which is nice. You'll end up defeating 100 enemies, you'll be a disciple at you school (only if you have equipment from your school on you as you fight), you'll be able to open your own school when you are level 50, you'll get through Game Mode Level 5 and 100. Also, you need to be at least level 60 to fight all the bosses again twice to get another achievement.

Now here is the thing you might ask, how can you get this achievement? Two ways: Get lucky and end up in a match with a friend or someone willing to help you if you message them (many will not, they will instead offer to train you in the game. It's up to you to decide whether that is worth it or not.) or push through it the best you can. Rematch even if you lose, not many people are on PVP so you'll probably end up fighting the same person over and over anyway. If you find someone willing to boost, all they have to do is jump off the arena 3 times if you are on a good map. If they can do that, the match takes less than a minute and the load up to the next match is just as long so you can grind maybe at least 40 wins per hour, 3 points for each and your friend gets 2 points if you fall two times. Meaning you are basically level 24 and your friend is level 16. Take turns of course. This is really good progress, it took me 6 hours worth of real fighting to get to level 25. I'd recommend doing this all in one go if possible because its luck based for anyone to get in a match with a helpful person.

Best of luck. If you need help or have questions, message me.

If you can find the duel arena that is pretty much all cliffs, you and your partner can take turns jumping off 2 and 3 times each. That'll get the losing person 2 points, instead of the usual 1.

This is where a good amount of your time will be spent earning the platinum trophy. The online consists of two game modes – 1v1 and 3v3. 1v1 is simply the best of five rounds between 2 players, whilst 3v3 sees players capture and hold points around a map. Only holding the points will allow players to score and the first team to 5,000 points wins.

After every match, you will be awarded points which will increase your online level. The amount of points you need to go up a level is 5 points. It is a fixed amount so you need 495 points to hit level 100. You earn points on three things:

  1. Playing and finishing a match
  2. Winning a match
  3. Performance

The first two are straightforward but you can earn a performance point even if you lose a match. In 1v1, winning two rounds before losing will earn you a point. In 3v3, a close match, good amount of captures and kills can award you points. You can get up to 3 points for performance in 3v3, so winning on top of those 3 points would result in a level up. Dependant on your skill, 1v1 is faster in general, whilst 3v3 can offer more points if you get lucky and end up on a dominant team. Just be mindful that team killing is a thing in 3v3, so expect some frustrating moments in that mode.

You can also do this with a friend but some luck will be required. Search for a 1v1 at the same time and see if you are paired up. If you are, the game does offer a re-match system after the fight so you can stay together as long as both of you hit ready. If you're not paired, complete the fight and then quit to try again. This could take a few attempts before the game pairs you together.

Once you have hit level 100, the trophy will be awarded to you.

At each PvP level (it is with its help that the game mode rises) there are five points. For a loss, 1 point is given, for a victory - 2, for a victory dry or with a large advantage - 3. For the most part, players either do not know how or do not know about excellent strikes, which are much faster and slightly less stamina-intensive attacks from your combat soundboards To carry out a perfect attack, you need to press the attack button at the moment when the golden-white outline of the stamina scale reaches a pair of arrows - exactly at this second the arrows will turn golden - this is a sign that it’s time to press the attack. If an attack is successfully executed, your character will glow golden for the duration of the attack. These ideal attacks can be repeated endlessly, but after each blow the position of the arrows and the rate at which the scale fills change, although after a couple of fights on the same deck you will already get the hang of it. (Personally, I advise entering the PvP arena after opening “Drunken Kung Fu”, because with its attacks any enemy will be exhausted much faster => it’s easier to start a series of deadly perfect attacks)

I’ll add that it’s better to get into pvp after studying at least half of the attacks, make up your deck of attacks from techniques that break through a block and just very fast strikes (stupidly “marching” in a drunken style almost never works).
