How to unlock the Leviathan achievement in ABZU - Definitive Guide

This achievement can only be completed in the final chapter, chapter 7. As you work your way through the chapter, destroying parts of the machine and raising the water level, you'll eventually dump into a much larger area with Blue Whales swimming around you. Swim up to one and grab on for a ride, then aim him at the surface. When you get close he should automatically breach, unlocking the achievement.

This trophy is obtained during Chapter 7.

Near the end of the game you will be restoring the ocean by destroying triangles that will electrocute you if you get too close to them. Once you’ve gone through all of them you will make your way out to an open area. In this new area directly ahead of you there will be a bigger triangle that you will need to enter to continue to the end of the game. Don’t go into it and just swim down instead, and you will see the blue whales below. Grab onto one of them and ride it to the surface to breach the water. You will see a short animation while breaching the water and you will obtain your trophy.

Can be obtained in Chapter 7 when you find yourself in a large location with a giant tetrahedron.

Instead of swimming towards the end of the game, swim down. Along the way you will spot large blue whales. Grab onto one of them and head towards the surface of the water: a short cutscene will play and you will receive a trophy.
