ACA NEOGEO FATAL FURY 2

Worked for me fine... go into original pick your character and pick cpu character. When match starts press the start or select type button and itll go back to select screen and let yiu pick player 2. You also need ti continue when you lose as player 2. Otherwise youll play a computer in fight 2

Thank you @AfterTheBurials, I reinstalled the game to give it another shot, somehow it doesn't work. I added an extra credit for player 2 but neither press nor hold start does something while I'm fighting the CPU. I tried to sign in as a guest, with another gamer tag and I spammed every single button on controller 1 and 2 and nothing seem to make appear the select screen.

I hope, I am not too late for this.
I had the exact same problems and tried everything. Finally, I saw in the settings, that my controllers had different firmware. After updating them to the same version, it worked like a charm.

Worked like a charm, thanks!! When the flag is going to the country of origin on the CPU to fight, that’s when I press start on controller 2. The game says wait a minute, and goes back to character select and you’re good to go... only took about 3-4 matches. +1 from me, thanks again!

Yeah I can't seem to add player 2 into the game in any point. Pressing start on the second controller does nothing. In fact, this has been a problem in all ACA games that I've tried.

Yeah I'm totally unable to add a second controller. Both controllers on same firmware as well. This game isn't even playable against the CPU.

Make sure you have CREDITS available before trying to add the second player. It will not let you add a second player if you have no credits!! You can add credits in the main menu by pressing LB few times. Hope this helps !

I was struggling with the game recognizing my second controller, but I eventually got it. I documented the steps I took in case it helps someone else.

1. Check for firmware updates on both controllers and install if needed
2. Unplug controllers and restart Xbox (probably not needed)
3. Turn on controller 1 (wireless) and sign in main gamertag
4. Plug in controller 2 (USB), do not sign in a second profile or guest
5. Launch the Neogeo game with controller 1
6. Press start on controller 1 and select original mode
7. Add a few credits using LB with controller 1 (about 5 should be plenty)
8. Press start on controller 2 while on the character select screen
9. After winning the match with controller 1, be sure to continue with controller 2

Make sure your controllers are all updated and have the same firmware (update) on them. I heard that can be a problem.

Use a USB cable for the controller if it doesn't work that what I did.

I have had no luck getting a second controller to join. I can add credits but for some reason can't press start on the second controller so I can join, what I am doing wrong?

Hope this helps to get the 2nd controller to work on all aca neogeo games...go to settings on your console,go to devices,link your extra control to your profile.heres where you also see firmware make sure controller is updated.QUIT GAME,cut console off the restart console..make sure both controllers are on your 2nd controller now works your profile sign your original controller as guest. Start game you might have to hit Y button to make sure in bottom right its says your gametag not guest. Go tto original game hit LB on both as you start the match both controllers are active..enjoy hope this help you,
