You might want to clarify that you need to walk forward, press A once (rather than "spamming" it), walk forward, press A again, etc. This is what's shown in the video and what actually works. The first time I tried spamming A and it definitely didn't work.

Ok, I changed it. That's what I meant.

I had to delete the game and the saves, hard reset the console, reinstall and then hit 70k without getting above 100k. I still used Rolf and used modified versions of Ozbrithians forward and A tactic, that works on the robot as well bt not flawlessly.

Also, once you knock a character down, a lot of them are susceptible to a sweep kick (down and Y) if you get the timing right just before they get up. Especially that guy in the purple jacket.

The 70k achievement glitched for me as well but i managed to get it after i got just a bit over 70k and then went into my next match and beat the next opponent in 1 round.

Ok it gave me the 70k achievement but despite scoring over 150k three times now it wont give me this one

Achievement refuses to unlock.

70,000 has also glitched for me...

I managed to get 70k after.
>Reset scores and rankings
>Delete all saved data
>Unistall the game
>Hard reset the console
>Re-Install the game
>Go offline
> Run the game
> Get between 70,000-99,000
> Go back online
>Achievement should unlock

Having hell of a time getting the 100k achievement to unlock!

Using Ozbrithian's method, it finally unlocked for me against Roomie. I then I got a perfect against her for over 100k points in the first round! This took way too long unlock! I hope this helps.

Got the same problem with the 10k ... Impossible to unlock despite all the advices you all give ... Any Advice ?

Ok so as neeker75 says, I manage to do it by having EXACTLY 100000 points ...

just delete the savegames and restart the game. when it tries to sync them again, abort the sync and do the Gunther method again. voila.

Still won't pop in 100,000...but it popped my High Score achievements over an hour later playing a different game.

Just for reference. I had the achievements for 3 and 4 hundred K ( original mode) refuse to unlock on the first attempt. Did some research including here, decided it was prolly bugged and moved on. Having returned to it is like offer the following experience.
I boosted using a second controller, double perfect and then back into an AI match at around 180k. Pressed start on 2nd controller and another boost fight to just over 340k.
Now I can't remember for the life of me if any of the other achievements unlocked as i passed the score threshold. But deciding that 340k was enough to unlock the 300k achievement and seeing it not work again i tried something. I was aware that some of the aca score cheevos won't unlock in versus, only against cpu. So having done 4 boosted fights I dropped back into the cpu match and got beaten up. Entered 3 initials in the top left corner ( I guess recording it to the leaderboard) and Ding! 300k achievement unlocked.
Repeated from start for 400k. Same result. 2 boosted matches, get score above required ( I tried to keep mine close to target, just in case) drop back into cpu match, get beaten up, enter initials. Unlocked.
Your mileage may vary but I thought I'd post here just in case it benefits anyone with score cheevos refusing to unlock.

Apparently im the only person on the fucking planet that this method doesnt work for. Game is a broken piece of shit.

OMFG... i did so many things to unlock this stupid achievement. Deleting saves, reinstalling, playing offline, reseting scores and so on and so on over and over again. -_____-

I was able to unlock it after making sure to not 100k too fast, like neeker75 said. I deleted my save, starting to lose until the Gunter fight appeared and i only perfected the first fight for around 50k points. Instead of going to 100k right away, i let me hit a couple of times and scored another 30k points for 80k points total. My goal was to be in the 70k achievement area.

The second fight is against the robot. I used the laser/flamebeam attack with rolf. (LS clockwise + Y) to beat the enemy and reached 100k points... unlocking the achievement... finally after more than 10 attempts before... urgh.

For me the 100k glitched. I used the start menu to go back to the title menu. Restarted caravan mode and as soon as I hit 100k it unlocked

100k glitched for me too. In order to get it, I followed the guide and perfected Gunter enough to hit 90,000(just stay under 100,000). Then I went over 100,000 against the robot and it unlocked the achievement. For whatever reason, getting to 100,000 in the first fight wouldn't unlock the achievement for me. I hope this helps someone else.

I also had a problem with the 70,000 point​ achievement not unlocking when I got the 100,000 point achievement. It was annoying with it being my last achievement I needed. I went back and got over 70,000 without hitting 100,000 and that achievement popped. I seems that if you get a perfect you're guaranteed 100,000 for the round and it will completely bypass the 70,000 achievement.

Ok, workaround time. If any of these stupid points achievement doesn't unlock, reset score and rankings instead of repeatedly restarting the Gunter fight. You'll fight the robot. Die deliberately. Restart, and you'll fight the scantily clad woman. Die deliberately. Restart, and you'll fight the girl in the forest with cute animals in the background. Beat her, followed by the robot and the purple shirt punk, and you should get 100,000 points. You don't need to perfect them. I won all these fights by the skin of my teeth, and still got 100,000. Alternate between forward A and jump A. If you do badly, restart.

Slowly working the score up will resolve the problem of the game not recognizing that you've hit certain landmark scores with the easy Gunter method.

Works for any score achievement. Works for Hi Score mode as well. Hope this helps.

PS: If resetting scores and rankings doesn't work, uninstall, reinstall, reset scores and rankings.

Just to add to this on my experience with getting the 100k.
It didn't pop to begin with and neither did the 120k for hi score so I was thinking I was screwed.
In the end I reset scores in caravan mode and gave it a couple more shots, no luck.
Went on to finish the original mode.
Thought to myself I will go back give them one more shot even though I had tried a couple of times.
Luckily hi score popped first time.
Caravan on the other hand did not.
I said to myself screw it and I will come back to it tomorrow. Turned off the console with a hard reset... I woke up this morning and the achievement had popped 15 minutes after I left it behind.
