In order to get this achievement, select Original Japanese Mode (or English mode) and begin a game. You will first want to go into the menus and change some of the settings (Lives to 6, Difficulty to 1, and 1-ups per 200k).

In order to reach 600,000 points in this game, you will essentially have to beat levels 1-5 without dying. The reason for no deaths is that you get a 50,000 bonus per level if you don't die, and only 10,000 if you do.

Like most shoot em' ups, this game is a pain in the ass to play through without dying. Fortunately, in the spirit of many ACA games, the trick is to work smarter, not harder.

The game has a built in save function that basically allows the player a game save. To save a game, simply open the menu and select the first option (Create Interrupt Save Data). It is VERY IMPORTANT to not create a save spot unless you are not in immediate danger (So you don't load a game and immediately die). If you lose a life, simply open the menu, select 'Back to title screen' and then select the game from the menu. The game will take you directly to your save state and you can continue.

This method does not void your achievements or your ability to post your scores.

I would recommend taking a little bit of time to explore some of the levels ahead of time so you can know what to expect. Otherwise, you may be saving and reloading every 10 seconds.
