Changing the round time and/or the difficulty level seems to void the record score achievement. Deleting cloud and local saves will fix this. Select English Version ORIGINAL MODE from the title screen options. Be sure to use the default settings. Once you are defeated, do not continue, press A to upload your score to the online rankings .

I just unlocked this I changed the time and difficulty. The achievement popped very late though seems to just be a delayed pop

I tried many times over several days and I could not get this to unlock. After deleting my cloud and local saves it unlocked on the first try. I made this solution to help anyone who was having a similar problem. All other achievements unlocked immediately.
