This achievement has bugged with me many times! So, if you are having problems (like me), do as below:
Play one time until 41000 points or so. Let your self to die.
Choose restart the game, when prompt.
Then, play one more time until 41000 points or so again.
For me, on the second time the achievement popped out.

How some gamers said, you can play until 20000 points or so. The method continue the same.

just as mentioned, I had to do one additional run after 60k for this to unlock. I completed the first two stages then died in the next with 26k

Maybe I was getting too many points. 42k, 43k, 55k... and 130k all failed.
But 23k worked the first time.

20-30k range seems to work, I got 28K and I just got it finally, game complete! Thanks for the tips

29,360 and nothing, then I actually viewed the leaderboard moments later when the menu prompted, after purposely losing both fights. Bam, achievement popped. Weird....

got over 60K on my first run and didn't get the pop up for submitting my score. Got 27K and it came up. Thanks for this.

Can’t get this to unlock on Windows 10, but for Record Score in original mode. I’m getting desperate. Wasted 4 hours just trying to get it to record score. Literally the easiest achievement and I just can’t get it due to this damn bug.

Tried for ages getting scores above 60k, until finding this solution. First time i finished a match on around 41K it let me record my score and pop the achievement. Thanks OP.

23K twice and it worked second time round. First time I lost because I was distracted, second time I got to 23K and then let my opponent beat me.

Thumbs up. This is a very buggy achievement. I deleted my save, as well as reinstalled the game several times, before I got it to unlock. You only need to score over 20,000 points for the "upload high score" option to register. After around two hours of repeated attempts, I finally got the prompt and the achievement. I am not sure what causes it to glitch... Enough players have unlocked the achievement; it's safe to assume this is not a permanent glitch.
