First time I tried this it worked. I used the first character and repeated the same move for first 3 fights to get it. I did pause and change both difficulty and time to level 1 so not sure if it helps or not though.
Jump towards opponent and hit him with cn_X, then immediately spam cn_Y to use the grapple move. Once he's about to stand up, repeat by jumping and hitting cn_X and hit him with another grapple cn_Y
First 2 fights were easy, then just spam cn_X or cn_A to destroy the statue and then repeat this process on fight #3.
