Simple enough...just begin the game and play through grabbing the pick-axe and picking your way through the cave-in. When you reach the helicopter screen the Diary will be on the ground right in front of you close to your partner. Pick it up and Bleep-Bloop!
Arsenic, 17, Corrupt
Just pick up the journal that is laying in the sand right in the front of the helicopter. It is hard to miss.
