How to unlock the Sweet Victory achievement in Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion - Definitive Guide
At level 10 with 10,000 HP, Uncle Gumbald may initially look scary, but the fight is relatively easy. My level 9 characters were more than enough for the task. Just make sure your characters have enough experience and a fair amount of healing potions. Gumbald's special attacks can be nasty.
I used Jake to protect Finn and BMO, while BMO was charging the other characters' abilities. I attacked the pirate minions first before focusing on the boss, and used a few resistance orbs along the way.
Gumbald will have a trusty gun to change his attack type and can summon more aid if he has none (so keep one of them alive if you can endure the damage). Focus on trying to shock the minions with BMO so it can deal massive damage on Gumbald, or you can try to bunk him directly. He is affected by Sleep if you want to try and take some time recovering and dealing with the threats first. Compared to the Fire Giant, he is incredibly underpowered and you might not have a challenge with him unless you rushed through the game.
Story related and cannot be missed.
Uncle Gumbald is the game's final boss fight. He's level 10 and has 10,000 HP. He doesn't have any particularly strong weaknesses, but he has two mage sidekicks who love to shield and heal him, so take them out as soon as possible. After a few rounds alone, he'll summon replacements; again, take them out as soon as possible.
What's important to remember about Uncle Gumbald is that every time he uses his Blaster Calibration mode, his elemental attack type will change, so keep your HP up as much as you can. His Bunk Shift attack can be nasty, so consider coming into the battle with multiple Mathematical Calculator special items (cures Poo Head) so you can use your character's attacks again.
Uncle Gumbald is susceptible to being boggled, so it's worth trying to inflict boggle status on him. I found that it never really took until near the end of the battle, but your experience may be different.
Whoever delivers the final blow to Uncle Gumbald will get a massive XP bonus (in my game, the bonus was more than the XP awarded for the actual battle), so try your best to have a non-Level 10 character deliver the final blow.
This is story related and cannot be missed.
This is the last final boss battle. Uncle Gumbald is level 10 and has 10,000 HP. He isn't a big challenge but will do a ton of damage. He has a randomizer blaster to switch up the type of his attacks. You can use resistant orbs if you wish to protect yourself from attacks but using Jake or potions will do just fine.
He resists fire, light, and dark attacks. He isn't weak to anything but normal attacks and Jake's shield should help though the fight. Might last longer with this strategy but at least protect BMO since he can be a low HP character. BMO will charge your ability power fast. Make sure you are upgraded enough to be confident in this fight. Defeating him and his minions will net you the achievement.
