To poison an enemy, you will need to use a Poison Crystal from your inventory (use the triggers to switch items and then  to use them). You will need to be close to an enemy for it to hit them, as it's only a small area around your body that will be affected. Crystals can be found in boxes or purchased from the Red chest in the shop.
