How to unlock the Smooth Footwork achievement in AEW: Fight Forever - Definitive Guide
Use Rey Fenix and two controllers. In order to enable a kip-up just get a special with Rey then have your second controller slam him to the mat then hold LT while you’re on the mat to do the Kip-Up while you have the special. Repeat until you’ve done it 5 times. That was the easiest way for me to do it

You can use two controllers. I used Jeff Hardy for mine and once you have a finisher get knocked to the ground with the second controller then immediately hit B not hold LT to get up on controller 1.

you don't need signature to do a kip up just has to be timed right with LT think you can do them every so often tho like 30 sec between each.
For those who prefer video here it is:
First of all you need to play as someone with the Kip-Up skill. One example is Orange Cassidy but you can also add the skill to a created wrestler in Road to Elite mode. In my opinion this one is the most annoying and finicky of the skill based trophies. To kip up, you have two options. You can either press immediately after you get slammed on the ground by certain moves, or you can press when you are on the ground while your momentum bar says signature or special. The timing for the kip up was pretty precise in my experience and I believe it has a cooldown after doing a couple of them in the same match.
Make a habit of kipping up when you can when you play Road to Elite and you might get it on one of the longer matches you have. If you're struggling, there are two easy ways to do this. First you can do it with two controllers, having the second grapple you so you have unlimited attempts to kip up. Secondly, in Road to Elite you can spend 20,000 coins when you have them to unlock unlimited special meter for an ingame week. You can use that to your advantage for this trophy so you can always use to kip up. After doing this 5 times in a single match you'll unlock this one.
