Not really a solution, but how more of how I got the achievement. I went into singe match, went to the settings, changed the gameplay and match settings difficulty to hard (important) as Medium + means on a higher difficulty than medium.
Then went to coach career, make sure settings difficulty and gameplay say hard, then played as the swans, i simmed a lot of games. After simming a game, and it wasn't a win, i pushed the Xbox button (BIG X in the middle of the controller) to have the pop out from the side, then move to AFL game, pushed start and closed game and then re entered the game, so i could sim the same game again, hoping for a win next time. Also got the have a player win the Brownlow on medium + as well.

Will try this later. With simming games do u have a rough idea of how long it takes to do a whole season?

Going through each game one by one, maybe 25 mins. That doesn't include quitting out and re simming the same match. You don't to win every game though.
