Just did the trophy this morning.
I played on medium difficulty, 20 minute quarters. At the end of the match we had over 150 tackles but I can confirm it only counts when you press the tackle button and tackle a player. (not when an AI does it)
The player you are tackling can get rid of the ball successfully as well as get pinged for holding the ball or throwing the ball. Just tackle.

This can be done in a single match. Just make sure you give yourself enough time to do it. When I did it, I set the game to easy and 5 minute quarters however since this achievement will pop during the match, I recommend setting the quarter time for longer, you can always quit out after.
Note: Only the tackles that you do will count towards the achievement. Any tackles done by your AI team mates do not count. When I did it my team had about 80 odd tackles done before the achievement popped.
And if you want to make it really easy for yourself, set up a second controller to play for the other side. (Warning while swapping controllers to run in and tackle your AI team mates may jump in firs,t so be quick!!!

I played 20 min qrts and ended the match with 186 tackles didnt unlocked achievement.

Ive been marking the ball and handballing it to the opponent then tackiling them but its not working
