How to unlock the Road Trip achievement in AFL Live - Definitive Guide

Play a single match on any difficulty level.

Choose one of the stronger Melbourne-based clubs, or Geelong, and choose to play interstate against the weak Gold Coast side at Gold Coast Stadium.

You should have no problem winning the game. To multiply the number of achievements you receive, set the conditions to rain and you will get the achievement for winning a game in the wet as well.

Just as an extra point clarified in the comments below - for this achievement to pop your line-ups have to be set back to the default - you can't play with edited teams.

I can't get this to unlock for some reason. I played through a whole season as Collingwood, and though I didn't travel until round 14 or so, when I played Sydney at the SCG, I thumped them and still didn't get the achievement.

Any ideas of what my issue might be? It's starting to bum me out, and I'm thinking it could be glitched.

That's a strange one mate - I didn't have a problem with it popping at all. I played Gold Coast at Gold Coast Stadium as Richmond, beat them in a short (3 minute quarters) quick match and the achievement popped.

Maybe have a go at trying to get the achievement in a quick match? That might be one way. I know Big Ant are compiling issues from a few sites (including the Big Footy website thread on the game) to put in their patch so this might be something worth mentioning.

Mine didn't unlock until I reset the teams to default and then played a quick match without adjusting the line ups.

Yeah, it worked for me as soon as I defaulted the sides back to their 2011 lists.

So maybe add it to the solution that to avoid any kind of trouble, be sure to use the default sides.

Thanks again Stowie, good tip.

Reckon that might be the key Stowie - non-default lineups seem to muck a few things up.

This can be done throughout Season mode, if you are good at winning games, but to do it in Single Match, put your controller as the Away side. Then select any team and make sure they are not from the same State as the team you wish to use. Then, select their home ground and win the match.
E.G. Richmond vs. Fremantle at the MCG.
