How to unlock the Strike Eagle achievement in AFTER BURNER CLIMAX - Definitive Guide

The achievement description is accurate. Begin the game, choosing "Arcade" as your gametype, and from the three plane choices, choose the F-15E Strike Eagle.
From there, play through the game, taking whichever routes you like and choosing whether or not to complete the emergency orders (the outcomes of which do not affect your completion of the game, merely the ending type).
If you're having trouble completing the game, work on unlocking some of your EX options (Some options are: Infinite missiles, auto lock-on, permanent machine gun fire, more/infinite continues, take no damage, etc.) Thanks to acedawg4 for suggesting that idea.
Once you can manage to finish the game by beating the last level, this achievement will unlock, and depending on how you performed, you may unlock others as well.
It doesn't matter what options you do or don't use to complete the game, just as long as you do it with the right aircraft.

Pretty self explatory. But I just wanted to add to Shadow Enz Solution.
My opinion is to unlock all the EX Options first so that you can tweek the settings and gain alot of the other achievements in the process. The most important I will say is the Continues. Just simply Keep dying until you see the Game Over Screen 10 times for unlimited continues!
From there on you can pick any plane you need the achievement for and fly thru the levels without ever having to fire a shot. Makes the game and Achievement a whole lot easier.

Just pick the F-15E Strike Eagle in arcade mode and finish any combination of at least 13 missions.
Labartu
When you start Arcade Mode you can select 3 different jets. Select the F-15E and beat at least stage 13 to unlock the trophy.
Slowly, Consumed
When you start Arcade mode, you get to chose from three planes, make sure you chose the F-15E.
