just make sure your main account is a standard controller. the others don't matter because they don't have to move or do anything. i can't confirm it works with the dj controller, i typed this before that came out. hope this helps!

Dumb question: how do you sign in a guest account?

it's not a dumb question, it's tricky to find out how to do it. i'm almost positive when you setup a match it gives you the option when you push A on the other controllers. let me know if this doesn't work and i'll start it up to see how. hope this helps.

This is the way to sign as guest: choose multiplayer local, not player match. Then press A on every controller and you will have the option to sign as guest. Then, from the multiplayer local screen, you have the option to play a player match with all your guests.

I'm not sure if a game update has been released in the last couple days or something, but this isn't working for me. I went into local game, signed in my main account and 3 guest accounts, and I see no option to start a player match. If I select "start game" it will start, but when I win no achievement. If I back out and try and select Xbox Live, it will give me a message saying "Blocked" because I have non XBL accounts trying to join. Do I have to make all of my guest accounts silver in order for this to work or something?

as far as i know no update has been released. i will try this later and post the results.i can say that you do not need to create silver accounts to do this.

This works. You need to start a player match. Then while it is looking for players, push the x button and you will be able to sign your other controllers in as guests.

Yeah, signing in players after you start a player match works. You have to watch out for real players joining during this time though.

Just to clarify a bit since initially I had trouble doing this. Go into private match with only your main account signed in. Press A, X, or start on the other controllers, then hit A to bring up the user profile menu and finally scroll down all the way to the bottom to find the option for "guest". In the pregame lobby, they should be listed as your main proflie gamertag followed by a number in parentheses, ie. JuCaMo (1). Separate them into teams of two, choose to join a player match, and then choose 2v2 duel. The game will start right away with your guest profiles and will automatically start again with the same profiles after each game. You can make it go by faster by capturing at least one town with the team your main profile plays for then quitting out with the other controllers.

Before I thought "guest" and other local user profiles meant the same thing so I would repeatedly get blocked from starting an XBL game.

You can quit the games for an easier win! The team that is going for the win just needs to capture one town first, then both members of the other team have to quit. If you quit right away then you'll get a tie and that doesn't count.

The quickest way to capture a town is to evenly upgrade your cannon as much as you can on each ship and direct both to a level 1 or level 2 town.

can't wait to complete this game tonight. playing real online matches you only ever play the same 5-10 players all seemingly located in the UK. being from the central US (and always going into matches alone) has only netted me 4 wins in approximately 75 matches against people who play as teams and play every day.

Fantastic! Literally no-one seems to play this anymore even though it's just been dropped to 200MSP so I was worried that this would be unobtainable.

Sign the other controllers up with a profile then sign them out. Go into Xbox live player match. Pick duel vs duel (I think?) whatever 2v2 game there is otherwise if you select the first one you'll go into an 8 player game, you don't want that.

It HAS to be an xbox live player match game, you can't do a local game to get this achievement. But you can have 4 local players playing the xbox live game, so it's easy to get.

Also once you've finished a game another game will start up straight away. May as well do them all in one hit! Takes about 5min each game. Easy!

Thanks, I wouldn't have thought to try this. The game doesn't make it all obvious that you can bring in guests.

I have tried this several times now, and when I try to sign in the other controllers as guests I only get the create profile option, nothing about playing as a guest.. =1

If you are boosting this with a friend with 1 guest each.Make sure the Player who is going for the wins is NOT in team Red it will not count because you are the host.
Let the Player1 capture 1 spot and player 2+Guest acc just quits out.

If anyone is trying to get this still and is confused --

--Do an Xbox Live player match with FOUR CONTROLLERS
--With three signed in as guest so that it defaults two to one team and two to the other
--HAS TO BE THE DUELING DUOS MAP or ANY 2v2 MAP

Capture one town with your main account, quit with the other two, win. Repeat nine more times.

75 matches are you serious? it took you 75 matches of this terrible terrible game before you decided to look up a solution. Besides this game is pure luck from what you get in the boxes and the villages that spawn near you, if your losing that much at such a simple game you should really sell your xbox and take up painting and decorating or something... jesus.

Yup solution needs updating to make clear you need to capture one town with your main ID and then let the others quit out to get the win.
