Just some tips to level up your keep faster.
1. Do the story missions for extra resources
2. Attack as much as you can and use raiders to get resources from opponents
3. Log in and make sure you collect from your buildings before they are maxed
4. Spend resources on your farm, quarry and mills so they produce faster first, then the storehouses next
5. Don't spend resources on things you don't need, like upgrading a unit you don't use, or decoration
6. If you have extra resources, upgrade your Cathedral (or civ equivalent) on the ones that add a boost to resources
7. You will get attacked, make it hard to attackers to get your keep and they might avoid attacking you.
Required Resources To Upgrade
Level 7 - 265,000 wood
Level 8 - 825,000 wood - 1 week of build time.
It takes 325k food to advance the wood storage to age 8, and you will need 3 to be able to hold the wood needed to upgrade.

" Or you can leave your app running so your never offline to be attacked."
You time out after a while. This is not a good solution.

I read on one of the developer forums that they are dealing to people that don't sign out using an auto-clicker or similar. It would best to include a disclaimer that you use auto clickers at your own risk.

Just removed the part about being online to cut back on the problems

I'm use to grinds but this game takes the cake!
I'm trying to save up 265,000 wood for level 7 upgrade at the moment. I lost 20,000 to a high level player and got a 12 hour peace treaty. You can do revenge attacks without affecting your peace treaty so I tried to get my wood back. I got 10k back but I also opened up an opportunity for a revenge attack and he took another 18k off me. At least I got an additional 12 hour peace treaty to help tide me over while I am at work.

Also probably worth adding Level 6 to 7 requires 265,000 wood. Level 7 to 8 for the achievement required 825,000 wood

I look at the city before I take my revenge attack to see if its worth it. Cause if its not and you attack, they attack you back.

Would you mind listing all requirements for each level?

I tried to check my sons account but he is already age 6 too. The first few ages are pretty easy though. Age 5 might have been around 125,000 wood but I can't recall for certain.
I finally have enough lumberyards to get my level 8 keep.

If anyone can tell me what the earlier ages are, I will post, but I am already on 7 and don't remember what it took to get there.

Well in 6 days and 17 hours I should have the achievement.
A tip from me. I started the day with 250,000 wood and 600 gold plus the time to stay on playing it.
I started attacking with enough food in the bank to cycle through people with low wood levels. Sometimes I may have skipped 10 or more people to get a good battle. As a general rule unless they had some easy pickings I wanted people where I had more than 40,000 wood on offer. Once I completed the attack I would rebuild my army and use gold to rush build them.
I was using 3 Trebuchet, 5 Teutonic Knights, 5 Knight Templar, 6 Longbowman and 5 Pikeman as my army but you can choose whatever suits. If I had to build my army from scratch it cost around 26 gold so I could quick build my army roughly 24 times therefore needing to pick up roughly 25,000 wood each battle. Sometimes I got more, sometimes a little less.
Sometimes I didn't use my whole army as I had got most of the resources I wanted and using more troops wouldn't provide any big benefit. I even took some losses rather than use up my army. Losses only affect your crown level which I don't really care about. On these occasions I spent less than the 26 gold to rebuild.
I ended up using around 450 gold to earn the extra 600,000 wood in about 3 hours.

Not unlocked for me on windows phone
By MulekAtentado on 19 Jun 2015 17:25
Just a heads up.. for the Win 10 version, this does not seem to unlock if you speed it up with gold. I used about 200 gold to rush the last 8 hours or something and it didn't pop. It did pop when I loaded the Windows Phone version that syncs up and I'm sure all my Win10 achievements will pop on the Win8 version.
Someone on the Castle Siege forums had the same exact issue on Win10 and confirmed that they used gold to rush it as well so it's very likely the issue that causes it to not unlock.
It's possible it's isolated to the Win10 version but it's likely to happen on Win8 as well. So once you buy this upgrade, let it finish on its own.
