How to unlock the Siege Master achievement in Age of Empires: Castle Siege - Definitive Guide
This achievement is all about getting the main castle (keep) down on an attack and the reward usually a chest with extra loot items. When scouting check out the other players supplies. Where there have large amounts of food, wood or stone then you might consider hitting their storage areas first before going for a keep. You can always use what you gain, even if you do not get the keep, to strengthen the army by building more camps, a barracks, archery ranges and upgrading these and the soldiers.
But for a general keep attack:
When attacking it pays to have some ladder invaders who you should send against any catapult emplacements as these are the ones that do real damage. You want that knocked out - but watch out as some players hide a second one! Then set them on the keep whilst at the same time roll a couple of Battering Rams into the main gates and once the gate is down you can then send in the whatever other troops you have.
A quick rush is generally enough to take a keep down and then after that you can concentrate on getting whatever else. This will count as a victory even if you take the keep and nothing else.
UPDATE: I wanted to add some additional notes on Heroes: Belisarius as a hero had the ability to undermine walls, and despite being the first Byzantine hero is worth having. Throw in Rurik of Russia with his Strike ability and you have a pretty good team - Oh! Of course that means you need to upgrade to TWO hero slots through research. And you can upgrade both to do their 'thang' twice as well. Distract by attacking another side of the map with a unit you can lose, send Balisarius in to undermine the walls, send Rurik in to STRIKE the Keep. If you have two strikes this usually is enough to blast most of the health from a Keep and your remaining units can topple it - you may not hit more than 10% but you should get the Keep each time and win.
But I found it much easier to take down the enemy keep in the early eras. Before you've leveled up your keep, you get matches against players who have virtually no defences. They started playing the game but gave up after the tutorial. By the time you reach the 5th/6th age you're fighting players who actually put some time and effort into the game and you have to fight for your wins. It's much easier to complete this as early as you can.
This might actually be one of the easier achievements to earn early on in the game. For this achievement, you need to focus on taking down the keep which will automatically give you a win and some crowns. Units like the trebuchet tend to demolish the keep fairly quickly. The best strategy that I can recommend for something like this is to take out defensive towers and send in things like the trebuchet to take down the keep from a distance. Should come fairly easily if there aren't any traps.

I found that doing this was the quickest way to unlock the cheevo, I had the conditions below:
- Reached Age 6
- Number of troops at least in 50 and their level at least on 3
- All unique civilization troops unlocked (cavalry and that archer are the best)
- First Bizantine Hero unlocked
Before going to battle I made my army like this: 4x stable cavalry, 4x of each other civilization cavalry (3 each), one catapult and battering ram, 3x hooded archer and 5x infantry
Then I searched for an opponent with no strong defenses at the castle (not towers and stuff around it), but only a single line of walls or a weak spot on them to breach and attack direct the castle.
Finding such player, engage the battle first using the Bizantine hero to break a wall and after he succeds, send all your troops to a full attack to the castle, ignore all towers, catapults and enemy troops.
'
Most times you can destroy the castle before your troops are defeated, you don't earn too much crowns and the attack ratio is low most times, but doing so you don't have to destroy everything in order to attack the castle.
