How to unlock the An Offer You Khan't Refuse achievement in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide
Somewhat deceptive--you must convert them WHILE the objective is still present. The first time around I converted them after the objective disappeared, and it didn't count!
(You do get a lot of time, 25 minutes in game time, but I was building up my forces)
It's also a good idea to convert them anyway because they are annoying to deal with in addition to Delhi.
Also, you must complete the mission for the achievement to pop(Say, will someone please try losing after converting them and see if that counts??!)
However, with your starting troops you can easily waltz into their bases with your monks behind your troops protected and convert them, as soon as they're converted they stop attacking you, and you can then shift over to the other one.
I recommend going left, then walking across the middle and across a ford on the right, to attack the purple leader from above. From there after they're both converted, take that army, healing up as you go, and take out the supply depot on the east side on the way to the towers, take out the towers, then all the supply depots across the middle and down to the left.
You can't build castles or towers, so this mission is a pain to wipe out Delhi if you want to try.
Get a really good economy going, and all the gold you can get, you're going to need it even on Standard!
Get the spies research! It shouldn't be too hard, mine only cost 3200 gold.
Upgrade your horse units to max, all blacksmith upgrades, then spam a core of hand cannoneers with horse troops protection and monks behind, with bombards and trebuchets to take down buildings. I ended up running out of gold after wiping out more than half of the enemy bases.
Keep 50+ villagers getting resources, 75 would be even better for this mission.
Keep spamming units, and build production buildings close to the enemy base, like 10 stables/archery ranges, and 5 siege workshops.
Have fun! This one is still a little tough on Standard, to wipe out the enemy bases.
If you don't wipe out Delhi first, when the countdown reaches 0, the leader will become a hero unit, when you take him out, I believe Delhi will mount one last attack, and when those units are wiped out they resign after destroying all their stuff(always fun to watch!).
