How to unlock the Auntie Dearest achievement in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide
Tamar the Builder is the 4th Mission of the Tamar Campaign, you will be playing as the Georgians.
Win condition is eliminating the Rum Sultanate (purple) in the west. Before you do so you MUST eliminate the Trebizond (grey) in the north. Once the grey are eliminated Alexios (yellow) will occupy the city and immediately start constructing a wonder.
As soon as the wonder is completed the achievement will pop.
This campaign mission isn't very difficult but I'll outline some recommendations.
- The Rum Sultanate (purple) & Saracens (green) will occasionally send raiding parties. These raiding parties are small and not well-armed and rather infrequent as well, largely can be ignored.
- You are very safe to build up economy substantially, enemies don't apply much offensive pressure and you aren't on a time crunch. Lean into defensive strengths of civ to support economy.
-The grey in the north are well fortified with lots of towers, walls, and monks. You aren't able to make cannon galleons in this mission. I recommend taking out the blue town centers and green Saracens first. By this time you should be in imperial and can attack the grey with trebuchets and research faith from the monastery.
-There are 2 easily obtainable relics, one to the north of where you start by the shore. Another directly south of the Zakarian brothers (orange) starting position.
-When you destroy any of the 5 Shaddadids (blue) town centers all surrounding enemies immediately perish. Since your Calvary have passive healing and your hero unit heals units very quickly you can often just ignore enemies and just rush town centers.

You can defeat Trebizond (grey) easily just by running cavalry through their gate when it's open and beelining straight to the Town Centre. When you reach it grey is immediately defeated and yellow gets all their stuff!
