Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition (PC) - Achievement - Diplomacy is for the Meek
Kill the Scythian Prince and defeat the Scythians in the first Attila the Hun mission "The Scourge of God".
Your goal in this mission is to kill two of your three enemies. The Scythians hold the most territory and can be allied with once you rescue their prince from the Eastern Roman Empire (blue), making it ideal to focus on defeating the other two enemies under normal circumstances, however for the purpose of this achievement, they must be destroyed. Although the Scythians appear to hold a lot of land, they aren't difficult to kill - This is the first Attila the Hun mission after all which was the first mission in the first expansion to Age of Empires II. This video shows where in the Easter Roman Empire camp the Scythian prince is located. He must be killed along with the Scythians for the achievement to trigger. It does not matter in which order you decide to do this. The achievement only seems to trigger upon completion of the level.

I was struggling a lot with this mission, as I was getting overwhelmed trying to fight off 3 opponents. But I found the key is a very fast and aggressive start. As soon as you have control of the village advance to the Feudal Age and take Atilla and all your Tarkens to attack the blue base.
Your starting force will be enough to kill their soldiers and destroy their military buildings forcing them to resign (make sure to leave the market intact). Then rescue the villagers and focus everything on advancing to the next age and having enough stone for a castle. When you do, place it your side of the western bridge and wall off the northern one. Build a dock near your 2 towers to the east and some fire ships to deal with the annoying red ships.
Once you've done this, it gets much easier as your castle will deal with anything they send at you. Send trade carts to the blue market for around 80 gold a time, with the speed upgrade they should avoid any trouble. Green loves its cavalry archers so train up plenty of knights, once you have a big enough force focus all your attacks on their base and it should fall in no time.

DON'T kill blue and red in this mission or the achievement won't pop. Just kill red and the green dude like in the video and then just kill green and you do get the achievement. If you kill blue and red the mission will be finished but the achievement won't pop even if you do kill the prince.

The Scythians are located to the south west and are quite easily defeated. Their prince is located in the western Roman empires fort and you will have chance to set him free, rather than do this just kill him instead.
