Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition

El Cid was the second Campaign of "The Conquerors" expansion to Age of Empires 2 and consists of six levels. Upon completing the final one the achievement will unlock.

During the first mission the achievement The Missionary (10G)  can be unlocked.

Some tips for the other missions:
 

• Level 2 - Quite easy, just use battering rams to get through the enemy defences. All the stone is to the far east of the map.
• Level 3 - Again quite easy, you can build your base to the north of Motamids then just quickly build up and attack them.
• Level 4 - Your base is fairly easy to defend but a lack of resources is the hardship on this level, just build a large army and focus on taking out the docks, convert the mosque and put a monk there will allow you to research all monastery techs without paying for them.
• Level 5 - Once you reach Denia, quickly take your villagers north and build a wall straight in front of Berenguer's gate, this will mean that the wonder never starts being built and Berenguer's main base is never activated. Then you will wish to destroy Denia's gate by changing them to neutral and go forward and capture valancia. Because Berenguer doesn't use his main base you are now free to upgrade at your own pace, build some trebuchets then attack his main base in the far north, research spies it should be cheap.
• Level 6 - Take your initial army and attack the Black Guard Army bases to the north and northwest immediately. They don't have murder holes this early so their castle should be easy to destroy and will mean you don't have to worry about being attacked from one side.
