Select Single Player > Campaigns >Historical Battles > Vinlandsaga

Select Single Player > Campaigns >Historical Battles > Vinlandsaga

The new UI makes this a bit confusing, main menu, single player. Campaigns. On the book select the yellow Africa tab, and mid page at the top, historical battles. Then Vinland Saga(1000). It's top left on this page.

- Select the docks and build a Transport boat
- Place Villagers/Berserkers in the boat
- Head north with the boat and follow the edge of the map up
- Once the message about finding Greenland appears, unload the boat on the Ice
- Send your units north along the edge of the map, you'll find a clump of trees
- The Penguin is just behind the rocks, approach until you can command it
- Achievement will pop when you are able to control the penguin

Just wanted to add that from the Main Menu its Single Player > Campaigns > Historical Battles
You won't find Historical Battles on the Main Menu so don't spend a ton of time looking for it like I did!

Encounter a Penguin in the Historical Battle "Vinlandsaga".
This achievement is one of the simpler mission achievements. Start by building a Transport Ship and load one or more unit on to it, then just send it to the top of the map where Greenland is (that's where the Penguin resides). Land on the Northern-most section you can and simply follow the land sticking as close to the top as you can. You'll find it just behind some rocks before you get to the Greenland Market and University. The Penguin actually joins you as an attacking unit too.
*EDIT* - 05/01/2021 - Multiple reports have been made of a recent update affecting this achievement that may stop people from getting it which if true, will hopefully be resolved soon.

As part of the Historical battles campaign, you will play the level Vinlandsaga where you play as the Vikings. To find the penguin, simply sail north with a transport ship to Greenland, keeping next to the edge of the map. Land your men then keep going north. The Penguin is located at the first woodland on the edge of the map you can't pass. By reaching him you will capture it and unlock the achievement.
