Another fun one if you like strategy games and aren't in a hurry, a tough one if you want to get it done quick!
The achievement pops at the end of the mission, as long as you met the requirements earlier.
What this means is that you must DESTROY both town centers--do not bring Rajendra to either town center AND do not destroy all the towers guarding the Mannaram or the Castle guarding the Polonnaruwa before the Town Centers are destroyed!
What you need to do instead, or what I did--use your other troops to destroy the yellow Town Center, and used my boats to gradually destroy the purple TC. The special boats are powerful, so keep them alive as much as possible, and use them to gradually kill purples docks and town center.
Once each town center is destroyed, they give up instead of converting to your team.
What this means is you won't get any villagers for this mission!!
You have a pop cap of 50. You'll get tons of resources from all the buildings you destroy, and destroying town centers gives you a pile of extra resources at that time too.
You'll also get regular reinforcements for a while, I'm not sure why they stopped.
My suggestions for this mission to make it easier than my go:
1. Grab all your land units, and group them together, plus your reinforcement units, to beat off the early blue assaults.
2. Once the blue assaults are done with, run all your troops down into yellow and kill their TC, after killing their army units using Rajendra as much as possible(he will give you an attack bonus for using him). Keep Rajendra away from the TC.
3. While yellow is dying, use your warships, and send them towards purple, keeping them away from towers, and focusing down enemy ships. You can attack the Purple TC from the ocean, it'll take a while, but keep an eye on it over time.
4. While this is all going on, make a bunch of fishing boats and set them to work... and research everything at the blacksmith plus the other buildings!
5. Once Yellow is down, be ready to intercept several attacks on your main base from Ruhuna(orange) and King Mahinda(blue). Kill these attacks, and start taking over the villages by destroying the tower and the few troops guarding them.
6. With the villages under control, Yellow and purple destroyed, it's time to assault the center fortress. Bringing along 6+ Armored Elephants will make this a piece of cake! Marshall your troops, kill that fortress, and it'll make the rest of the mission VASTLY EASIER. I did it the hard way. DO NOT let the relic be recaptured by a grey unit, probably just leave the relic where it is.
Orange won't make any more elephant units!
7. With the center fortress killed, marshall your forces, and either kill a path straight to the blue fortress in the bottom, or wipe Orange off the map for revenge...
8. The blue fortress at the bottom is pretty weak with no Orange protection, just make sure the King doesn't run away. Bring in 30+ troops, Rajendra, and lead with 5+ Armored Elephants and it'll be over shortly.
I made several mistakes in my go of this mission.. hopefully this speeds things up for you!

Just to clarify..
I got sent villages (10 in fact) and i also have a pop limit of 150.
I destroyed yellow TC with just infantry (No hero) and also used ships to destroy Purple TC before destroying anything else in Purple.
Just want to make sure it is right before going through the rest of the mission.

You politely said "fun if you aren't in a hurry", for me this had to be one of the most annoying achievements to get. Not because of the actual task, but because it streches the end of the mission extremely.
Also a thing for the relic: As far as I got it, you have to capture it and KEEP it to work. So you have to escort it out of the center fortess back to your base. Also take care on the way back home. As soon as I left oranges territory, I sent it alone to my base. Some grey villager passing by captured it and the game bugged, making it impossible for me to reclaim it.
