To start off you should garrison some of the crossbowmen and slingers inside town centers to protect from the scouts and occasional attackers at the beginning.
Then start farming resources and focus on collecting all the stone inside your base. Once you get enough just keep constructing castles in your city with a couple around the wonder and the other 3 spread along the borders of the city.
The castles will wipe out any infantry units that red or purple sends but you will need to make some infantry to destroy the siege units they send against you. Once the wonder is built in your city your only goal is to defend it for the 200 years and you will win.
Some tips that will help is instead of walls you can use a line of houses to block off any areas you want them not to come through. It will provide protection and distraction while they work to get rid of the houses. Another tip i recommend is to build lookout towers around the outskirts of your city to spot the siege units before they can do any real damage.

It's glitched at the moment. I started this mission, resigned to take a look at the map and the achievement popped instantly. Took me maybe 15 seconds.

This achievement is pretty self-explanatory - Simply don't build any walls or gates. Considering this mission revolves around around the protection of a wonder, this achievement condition could be considered a hindrance ... but nobody said anything about not building castles. Simply make sure the wonder is protected by Castles or units from all flanks and this shouldn't be a problem.

Just play normally and wall the shallow waters. It unlocked without issues

Quite simple, just avoid building any walls or gates either stone or palisade throughout the mission.
After the initial battle you will gain a base and your ally will begin building a wonder. Even though you can't build walls you can build castles to defend it. You can also build a wall of houses to slow enemy advances. Whilst the enemy shouldn't threaten you until the wonder is built make sure you have built your defences before then. If you build up a sufficient army you could even go on the attack against the enemy bases to wipe out their forces before they send them to you and prevent them from building more.
