If you simply want this achievement in the quickest way possible without having to do anything, just load up the first Attila the Hun mission (European Campaigns) 'The Scourge of God'. As soon as the mission starts the achievement pops.

This will come naturally as there are several campaign missions where you start in the Dark Age where loom is researched. As with several of the achievements in this title update, a good level is the William Wallace Learning campaign mission 4: Research and Technology. Simply follow the instructions given and you will unlock this as soon as you have researched loom.
