How to unlock the Relic Hoarder achievement in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide
The name of this mission is Nirvanapada
There are 9 relics in total which count towards the achievement. There's an additional relic stuck in a rock behind the Yellow base, this doesn't count towards the achievement so ignore this one.
I believe all relics need to be stored in your monasteries at once. To do this, you need to select a monk, then right click on the relic, the monk will pick the relic up, with the monk still selected you then need to right click on one of your monasteries to store the relic.
Left clicking on a monastery will show you how many relics are stored within it. I'm not sure whether all relics needed to be stored in the same monastery, but I did so just to be safe.
- 4 of them are in your bases to start with. 2 in each base. Just pick them up and store them in your monastery

- 1 or 2 are sat by themselves near the middle of the map depending on how quick you can get to them. If you are quick, you may be able to snag these before the blue Monks take them back to their monasteries, but if not don't fret...

- 2 of them are held up in the Blue monasteries to the very very left of the map, depending on how quickly you got to the ones above. You have to destroy the monasteries for them to drop onto the ground

- 1 is sat on a tiny island on the very very east corner of the map. You'll need a transport ship for this

The achievement didn't unlock in game for me, I had to finish the match by completing the success criteria after collecting the relics and then go back to the main menu and select Multiplayer, within 15-20 seconds it unlocked in the multiplayer lobby.

There is 9 relics on the map
4 relics on your base (2 in the walled one and the other 2 on your southern ''monastery feet'')
1 relic is far east on an isle and you need a transport ship to get it
2 relics are just north of your armies (1 near a scout and pikeman), the other is just cornering the first purple base
1 relic is behind Red's base and blue will garrison it quickly
The last relic is on the west of your walled base and on the LOS of your outposts. You can be quick and collect it before the blue monk tries.
Anyway, blue will be your only opponent trying to get relics, so as soon as you destroy him (his base is fairly weak and without castles), you'll get his relics and don't bother with annoying rams.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition (PC) - Achievement - Relic Hoarder
Collect all Relics on the map in the fifth Suryavarman mission "Nirvanapada".
This achievement is fairly simple - Just gather all the Relics. You start with a few in your bases so be sure to grab and store them first of all. The remainder are scattered throughout the map and you can search and gather them or (and this isn't actually a bad alternative) you can allow your enemies to gather them. The reason this isn't a bad option is that they will all be in one or two places for you to gather. They will likely be captured by the Red or Blue enemy. The only Relic that you may not naturally come across is on a tiny island at the top right of the map so be sure to send a Monk in a Transport Ship there at some point.
The only danger to avoid is that the map is that the mission will end if you kill three enemies, so if you're destroying bases in search of Relics, be sure not to kill three enemies fully until you have your Relics.
Explore as much as you can and keep an eye on the map for any white dots representing Relics. Also, the more you explore enemy bases, the better grasp you will have on where Relics are as a Relic in a Monastery is represented by a flag on the Monastery showing that something is garrisoned inside.

There are a total of nine Relics to collect and it helps if you move quickly at the start. You start with four in your base (two between your two castles by your army and two at your southern base next to the monastery), You will also want to collect the one just north of your base at the start, keep a couple of guys close by to it, and also the one south of your base. You may have to send some of your starting scouts to defend this from the blues.
The remaining three relics are a bit harder to get to, though your main aim should be to collect them without winning the mission as you could easily destroy three enemies. I chose to first quick set your economy going then head east with the starting army, you'll probably want a group of trebuchets to go with them, you then want to attack the purple bases along the eastern shore and destroy them in particular you'll need to destroy all the harbours. The seventh relic is just west of the most southern purple base and can be obtained now. Once purple are destroyed you'll need a transport ship as the eighth relic is located in the far western corner of the map on an island.
The final relic starts in the far northeast, between the red and blue base. It is defended by a castle so blue will capture it almost immediately. To attack the blues, head via the southwest edge of the map. They are not very well defended but are the only enemy who build monks, therefore if you fail to capture the other relics they will be located in their monasteries.
After placing all nine relics in your monasteries the achievement should unlock immediately. There after you should only have one more enemy to destroy to win the scenario and the campaign.
During the level you will be offered the chance to pay yellow 1000 gold to ally. If you do this they will distract some enemies for you.
