Defeat Simon the Younger's army before the baronial forces attack in "Vain Ambition".
This achievement is fairly straightforward. Once you escape in the beginning of the mission, make your way to Worcester (Grey) which will be visible on the map. Once there, you will take control of the camp. A timer will begin signifying the time you have until the enemy realises you have escaped. This is NOT the timer you need to adhere to. Once this timer ends, ANOTHER timer will begin signifying the time you have until the enemy attacks. You must defeat Simon the Younger's army before THIS new timer expires to obtain the achievement.
Simon the Younger is camped not for East from your town of Worcester. You should have plenty of time to raise an army strong enough to defeat him and his troops.
Note that whilst his army colour is blue, you do not need to defeat all blue forces, just the ones around Simon the Younger to the road East of your town.

Unrelated to the cheev, but hoping you'll know. Are the campaign complete cheevs glitched and unlock upon completing any other cheev like on Steam?
I love this game and would rather not glitch the achievements rather than do them legit so am reluctant to play.

I've not actually completed any of the campaigns yet for this latest expansion. Just on the last Longshanks level. So far, the achievements haven't been buggy at all. I know when AoE II: DE first came out, a lot of the achievements were real buggy and had to be fixed with updates, but not had any problems so far with the expansion.

Easiest way I found to do this was after reaching the village you take control of in the beginning, start harvesting enough stone and wood to build a castle and a university. Research Murder Holes from the university. Once you have enough build it on the East side of your city. When its built and it shows you Simon the Younger on the map, take your leader and pull his army and him towards your castle. The castle should be more than enough to take out both Simon and all the units with him
