LOCKUPHILLARY16 reports that you can simply delete your units to count for kills. I was never able to try this as I had already gotten the achievement prior to being aware. It has been confirmed as to work, this is the quickest way to snag this achievement.
Although you may be misled to believe that the poison needs to be the aspect killing units, it appears that this will unlock for archers that are equipped with the poison upgrade regardless of the killing blow coming from poison or from the initial arrow hit.
This means that you can farm this achievement with large armies of archers killing just about anything indiscriminately. Creating a skirmish match with max resources where you spam archer armies will net you it quite quickly when you pair yourself up again a few intermediate or hard enemies as they will actually produce sizeable armies. It's also important to note that only the Malian archers utilize the poisoned arrow ability, not the other units in the archery range.

Like the other kill X amount of people achievements, you can just suicide your own archers. So you don't have to wait for the enemy to produce units.

Just confirmed on 12/11/22 that deleting your archers (after the poisoned arrow upgrade) still works. In my case for whatever reason the Achievement Tracker didn't update progress (it always updated progress when deleting my own troops for other achievements). I was about to give up but kept going for good measure and the achievement popped. :D
