How to unlock the Explore, Expand, Exploit achievement in Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition - Definitive Guide

The trick here is to really use your traders to get the stone. I was able to do this in about 25 minutes without using two tricks that I forgot about that will potentially make it a little bit faster, but I'll write about it all here.

Create a gigantic map by yourself without any opponents. Make the map revealed to be easier and give yourself "High" resources. I chose the map "Dry Arabia" as there's fewer mountains and rivers, but it may not matter for the most part.

Now, I chose to do Imperial Age at the start, but I'll create two strategies here that you can do.

Starting in Imperial Age: At the start of the game, create an Oovoo with one villager. Move this villager next to another stone cropping after. You may need to use your Khan to kill some wolves. Send the rest of your villagers to the farthest corner away from the neutral market and build 5 markets of your own. Set the rally point of all the markets to be the neutral market on the other side of the map. As soon as a market is done, research "Stone Commerce" and max out the queue with traders. After your villagers are done making markets, have them build Outposts along the trade route to get the YAM Network speed bonus on your traders. If you're nearly maxed out on the distance, you should get about 40 stone per trader. I didn't run out of my first Oovoo on this map as it was a large stone cropping, but have that first villager next to the next stop cropping to create a second Oovoo if needed. I think I finished with somewhere between 750-830 stone/min by the end of it all. You may want to create some villagers at some point to gather wood.

Alternatively, you can start in the Dark Age and pick up some more upgrades along the way. These may make it a little bit faster.

Starting in the Dark Age: At the start of the game, create an Oovoo with a villager. Queue up a ton of villagers from your Town Center and have them help your main group of villagers. Use the rest of your villagers to create "The Silver Tree" in the farthest corner. Use your Khan if you need to kill wolves. This will create some traders a little bit faster which may pay off. Just start building traders at The Silver Tree to take advantage of its speed bonus. Build 4 more markets in that corner. Start building traders immediately. Use your villagers to continue building Landmarks to get to the Imperial Age as soon as possible. Don't put the Landmarks on the middle of your trade route, you don't want to slow down your traders. While your villagers are building landmarks, split off a handful of villagers to start building towers along the trade route for the YAM network speed bonus. Build "The White Stupa" as the landmark heading into the Imperial Age which will give you a free 240 stone/min. As soon as you're in the Imperial Age, research "Stone Commerce" at a market (but not "The Silver Tree".) Clear out a queue of traders, it's critical. You may need your villagers to gather wood or food, depending on how things go.

"Oovoo" This is a special building that the rus can build on top of stone. It'll periodically generate stone as if villagers were mining the stone. With this building you can also do extra researches. But those researches are not needed for this achievement.

The distance between towers to get the YAM network: When you build an outpost you see two rings, the most outer ring is how far the YAM network will reach. So make sure they overlap when building the outposts. It's a 15% increase in movement speed, from 1 tile to 1.15 tiles per second.

The only note I have as I hadn’t played Mongols before: you have to research YAM Network on one of the Outpost (towers) before you get the benefit. Your units will glow golden while in range.

I was able to meet the requirements for this achievement on the last mission in the Mongol campaign - The Fall of Xiangyang. The achievement will pop midgame. Although it's mentioned in the description, you don't need to held 10,000 stone but you have to get this number from any sources over one match. In other words, feel free to spend it on upgrades.

Start by building 9 more traders in your market and send them to both allies markets. You'll activate the Silk Road boost which will give you even more stone. At the same time build additional oovoo to the north of your base (near gold deposit). From that moment focus on upgrades and preparing your army.

Once you get your army in twin cities, start burning everything inside as buildings also give you some stone. You should be able to get it fairly easily before even attacking Xiangyang. If by any chance you still need some stone wait before burning the final objective until you collect enough stone.
