The English castle alarms are utilized by certain military buildings such as the KEEP and the Stone Wall Towers. These can be noted by having a yellow fire symbol hovering over the top. They will notify nearby units of incoming enemies and provide buffs of which are applied automatically.
The easiest and quickest method to obtain the achievement is to:
- Start a 1v1 skirmish on a large map with the AI set on easy.
- Start your age at Age IV with high resources.
- Build a long stone wall section (all one piece)
- Place 12 towers in a row along it.
Achievement should pop in-game after enemies have come close to your towers and the twelfth has linked!

Seems like you have to wait for a big enough attack to set at least 12 off too, a Scout won’t last long enough.

Choose Absurd difficulty. On easy the AI wouldn't attack me. On Absurd they sent units within a few minutes
