How to unlock the In the Lead by a Quarter Nile achievement in Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition - Definitive Guide
Campaign: Sultans Ascend
Mission: #2 "Into Egypt"
How the level works: You control the Damascenes against the opposing Franks. There are a total of nine control points separated throughout the map; two start under your control, two start under Frank control, and five remain neutral. The level is all about maintaining control points (more than the Franks) and waiting for the 'control' indicator bar to turn blue. This goes faster when you control more control points. When you own the control point, Allied NPC land forces will spawn and help defend.
Control points work like modified sacred sites. Neutral sites are automatically turned to your control when you enter; enemy-controlled points take approximately 15 seconds to turn neutral before automatically turning friendly.
Strategy: The achievement requires you to have control of all control points at any point in the mission. This is easiest on story mode or easy mode. Separate your forces and chart paths for them to capture all the neutral control points at the start of the mission. Once captured, apply pressure and continue capturing control sights towards the enemy spawn point. Once the enemy starts attacking your control points, you want to send some troops to defend. Don't forget about your reinforcements arriving every so often at the port. After you grab enough control sites, you can start converging your troops and take the final ones.
It shouldn't take any real effort at all. Divide your troops, take the sites, earn the achievement.

Not sure if it popped during the mission or after. I know that I kept control of all the sites through to the end of the mission. This is accomplished by splitting forces and sending reinforcements to the sites most likely to be attacked. If I noticed enemy forces moving towards a less-defended site, I rotated a mass of units to defend it.
It is a bit annoying because you have to divide your forces and pay attention to incoming waves in space and time. I hope you were able to get the achievement.

Does it pop during the mission or after it?
Twice i had all of the control points during the mission, but not when it ends.
