It's literally as simple as creating 50 Royal Knights and clicking on an enemy to attack them. You may have to give it a moment to register. It seemed like if something was in the way of your knights it may not consider them to be charging.
Required settings:
- AI opponent (presumably easy)
- High resources
- Age II
Optional settings:
- Micro map
- Revealed map
Start building houses with 1 villager (up to 19.) Build 5 stables with 5 of your villagers. As each stable finishes start turning out Royal Knights. You're going to use nearly all of your food. Attack 1 enemy like a scout cavalry with a group of 50+ knights. The achievement should pop shortly thereafter.

Upvoted. One note though. No matter what I did I couldn't make it work in campaign. I was charging with more than 80 in various formations but it just didn't work. The first time I did it in skirmish I got it straight away.

I tried this for a while earlier today but it didn't seem to pop. I've just had it appear now when I used Veteran Cavalry. So either it's delayed or it was a little buggy and let my cav do it too.
