This isn't as hard, as it may sound. Rush any new area so save as many militia as possible and make sure you only recruit Centaurs when you have the chance.
The only truly important thing is protecting the three siege engines you get. Make sure they are alway protected, because centaurs don't do well with buildings. They are on your way to the goal, no need to look for them.

dont forget that when you unlock the market, you can sell all your food to gold, and then buy wood with gold, since they only need wood to make !

I wonder if it is a delayed pop for me. I did the mission again. Only made centaurs. It didnt pop.
