How to unlock the The richest man in hell achievement in Agony - Definitive Guide
Throughout Agony, there are four Golden Chambers hidden in various locations. Some are easily missable because they are well-hidden, others are more or less in plain sight, yet require certain abilities that can only be utilized after the first playthrough. While the Red Rooms, pertaining to a separate achievement, can only be reached while playing as Vydija, the Golden Rooms can only be accessed for the first time while playing as Nimrod. They will contain large quantities of knowledge statuettes, and occasionally skins for the 3D model viewer.
The first Golden Chamber is located in the Abandoned Prison, close to the first save point. From there continue down the corridor and take a right. You will need a torch to scare away the tentacles. Using Soul Vision, you can now pass through and collect the loot, which includes a Forbidden Fruit.
The second Golden Chamber is found near the the large brier patch that an onoskelis flees into across the lake from the Tower of the Goddess. During your first playthrough, you will have already burnt this area down, revealing a small tunnel in the back, adjacent to the cave's entrance. After crawling through, you can now use soul vision to enter.
The trickiest of all the Golden Chambers, the third, is found in the Fallen Kingdom. After exiting the Ishtar Chamber with the golden statues on the ceiling and the robed martyr, head along the branch path to the right. Observe the distant upside-down buildings, and locate the one with a large open window. You will need to enter Soul Form to reach the building, and quickly make your way through the window and possess the martyr chillin' in there. I would not actually recommend possessing an ifrit to reach it unless you become disoriented halfway there and are running out of time. Note the unlockable ifrit model viewer skin outside the Golden Chamber, then once again enter using Soul Vision.
The final one may perhaps be the easiest to find, the fourth can be found through a doorway beside the save point outside the Floating Temple. Passing through, continue around the corner avoiding the rainbow goop juice puddles along the way, and there the chamber will be.
However, it is interesting to note that the game will likely not display the words "Golden Chamber" overhead whilst entering, nor will the achievement pop after looting and continuing on. For me, this achievement didn't pop until approximately 15 minutes or so later. I was actually on my Xbox home screen at the time, so do not fret if it isn't instantaneous!
Would be curious to hear from you folks how quickly it unlocked, as well.
