The Golemech is located on the first island, deep underground on the Eastern side (below where the dragon spawn is).
You will need an earth gem to get inside. Earth gems can be found by going to the eastern island and collecting spirit gems and capturing an earth spirit, to do so you’ll need the spirit goggles that you obtain by completing early stages of the magic quest line. They can also be purchased from the magic fish store located at the bottom of the ocean between the elder dragon and the witch.
The Golmech battle could be difficult early game, but is possibly worth it for the items like the earth hammer you can craft. If you are having trouble, leave this fight for later as you become strong enough to shoot him a few times for an easy kill.
