How to unlock the Glowing Waters achievement in Airborne Kingdom - Definitive Guide
First things first. It's my first time providing a solution guideline, so please bear with me .
I was able to unlock 'Glowing Waters' and 'Sparkling Alloys' only in my NG+ run, as the map is much bigger, and you need to dive into 'The Lost Tundra' area as well. I highly recommend starting your NG+ with 'The Nomad’s Orrery' as it removes the fog from your map.
Apart from the last 4 metals on my list (numbers 19 - 22), if you haven't unlocked them yet, you'll need to build 'The Lost Tundra' Wonder for each color after visiting each ruin. Additionally, 5 more metals were located in 'The Lost Tundra' area during my playthrough.
At the end of my NG+ Hard run, I had the following colors and metals as achievements unlocked:

Great guide! Was going to write one a few days back but you nailed it!

Does anyone know if the NG+ run requires Hard mode to find all the paints and metals? Or will the same amount be there on normal. Just did the game on hard and would like to "ease it up" for the second run...

Since no one else has added a guide to this or the sparkling alloys achievements I will add what I have found so far. The gamepass version of this game seems to either be bugged for the actual achievement or the random worlds in New Game+ have a chance to not spawn all the ponds and forges. My current game on ng+ hard has a total of 22 ponds and 16 forges and there are no guides anywhere that tell the total needed for either achievement.
Based off the tracked achievement progress I have for both achievements it seems that there are a total of 25 ponds and 20 forges. Since the either achievement cannot be gained outside of ng+ I would recommend starting a new game with the orrery town center and counting the totals of both in the world before committing to going out to gather either achievement.
any other feedback from people who have one or the other achievements here would be great
