As you explore the Llanfair surrounding, you may come across a Pilgrim 1 screen west of Llanfair that mentiones shrines hidden in the land.
You should have their locations marked in your map after that conversation. (Thank you EarthboundX !)

You get the shrines added to your map by talking to the old man on the bridge just west of Llanfair.

Ahhhh.. well that makes it a bit better.... I'll add to the solution.
I vaguely remember the conversation with that NPC but never put two and two together that it triggers the locations in the map
