A little bit after the prologue, you will start seeing the brown rodents roaming the overworld between your house and Llanfair and surroundings.
The brown critters do not pursuit you or attack you but if you bump into them, they will damage you.
You have to beat the game without having killed any of them. It unlocks after the final cutscene and before titles

Phew, got worried about this one. I had one of the dumb rats run into my sword swing while I was clearing bushes out of the way. So I damaged it, but didn't kill it. Luckily I still had the weakest sword.
You'll want to be very wary of what you are doing arounds the rats. If you get hurt while holding a rock or bush, you'll automatically throw it, and a rat could be right there. Also be aware that lifting rocks and bushes can have the bombs traps, which can kill nearby creatures.
